Strength and Agility Program Details:
Strong Muscles are capable of creating the best agility. Players must be able to utilize the correct form to gain the most power for movements.
Coach: Becky Pollinger- CPT- NASM certified personal trainer - Youth Exercise Specialist
The six weeks will provide a progression of exercises and activities, both forward and multi-directional movements, focused on developing the three areas of agility:
- Weeks 1-2- eccentric movements, learning to absorb forces
- Weeks 3-4- isometric pause/hold muscle contractions
- Weeks 5-6- concentric movements focusing on using force, making the body move fast.
-Each session will contain a dynamic warmup, core activities and exercises, a game to incorporate the movements utilized in the session and a cool down.
Players should be sure to wear sneakers and comfortable clothing. Also, bring a marked water bottle.
